Pencil Fanart - Hunter x Tessa

*mischievous laugh*

Well, I don't know about you all, but Danielle's most recent post about Tessa's dream had me laughing pretty hard.  Also, because it's my job to personally matchmake for her and for her characters, I ended up shipping Hunter x Tessa until Michael the Killer of Dreams dashed my hopes against the rocks of reality and informed me that, alas, Hunter cannot fall in love with Tessa for some…muahahaha, mysterious reason which will be revealed in some upcoming post.

Ah, well, this was fun to make and worthwhile.

Tessa, modeled after Winry Rockbell, is in her simple, modest dress, gazing up at Hunter with what I hope comes across as both fear and heart-hammering awe of his overwhelming masculine force (still obtained despite his girly hair).  Hunter, modeled after Byakuya Kuchiki, is scrutinizing Tessa in return with a firm gentleness that I believe he can, with effort, manage to scrape together from his cold heart.

The quote "to love is to destroy" is from Valentine, a character in the Mortal Instrument series, which I wouldn't recommend if you still have your childhood and from which I also gained inspiration for Jace. There is a lengthy philosophical bit about love equating destruction that I could go into, but I won't, so you all just pretend I said something really genius and inspiring.

Oh, also…heh.  heh.  heh.  I got Hunter's gauntlets too; you can see the spikes above Tessa's head.  ^_^

#proudartist

P.S. Jace and Autumn are nexxxt~  …prepare for much drama, very sad, so creepy, and wow.

About: The TSU

Hey guys!
I mentioned awhile back that I'd be releasing this along with my next post, but I decided to go ahead and put it up a little early. A couple things before you start reading.

-Thanks to Joanna for letting me mess with her brainchild! She gave me her information about the whole thing, and then her permission for me to tweak it a bit.

-If you want any specific descriptions of something: weapons, vehicles, uniforms, government structure, political relations, etc., just ask me. I'd be happy to provide such information for you.

-There are several other races mentioned here. They're just my ideas for what non-human species there are out there, and if you don't like them, simply say yea or nay. I put them in because we don't seem to have a solid idea of what other beings/groups we're interacting with, other than the TSU and elves.

That's that. Enjoy!

The Transcontinental Soveregnties Union (TSU) Overview:

Government: Nominally a Constitutional Parliamentary Republic. There is one main body of leaders from all the seperate nations (like the UN) that meets and discusses issues according to a constituional document. They are, however, overruled by the unofficial dictator of the TSU. This man is the chairman of the main TSU body. His word is 'unofficial' law. He has bribed, threatened, and cajoled his way to his current position and governs by terror and force. He appears on all media and is basically the face of the government; his name is KoVRIS. Behind him, standing more in the shadows, is a woman known only as the Moderator, and she is the actual dictator of the government, dictating KoVRIS's every move.

Political relations: Outwardly neutral. The TSU interacts with several different extraterrestrial species, these including the elves (both dark and light), naugrim (dwarves), janthunians (blue-skinned, red-eyed humanoids with a high level of intelligence), parlaaxils (orcish in appearance, but with more of a hive-minded behavior), and a couple other groups of humans who are independent from the TSU. The TSU does not try to openly provoke conflict or stressed relations, but in no way is it friendly.

Economy: Command type. What the government says, goes. There is no room for freedom or entrepeneurship. Each nation has specific resources that they are committed to producing, and these resources are gathered into one huge stockpile and redistributed according to need. Socialistic/Communistic in the extreme. One monetary system (called 'Fusiliers') has been standardized for the entire world, and inflation is somewhat of a problem with the amount of money in circulation.

Technology: Advanced. Not Star-Wars era persay, but close to it. Anti-gravity technology has been reached but is only in distribution to the military and certain industries. Plasma technology is widely available, and has all but replaced projectile-weapon utilities in the armed forces. Holographic imaging (3D, no-screen pictures, videos, and live-streams) is the norm. Medical research has reached the point where cloning is not hard, merely expensive and tedious. Implants and surgeries have an almost 100% rate of success due to microtechnological breakthroughs. Life expectancy rate is around 80-90 standard years – it has not advanced much because after a certain point where you cannot actively feed the economy anymore, the TSU will either put you in a retirement facility (which are basically concentration camps with nicer living conditions) or use you for medical/scientific research and experimentation.

Population: 8.5 billion and steady. The TSU government makes sure over/underpopulation is not an issue.

Language: There are still different languages spoken in their respective countries, but the over-arching language that everyone speaks is called 'Standard' – basically English. (It is worth inserting here that the language most of the galaxy communicates in is called 'Basic', and closely resembles Yiddish.)

Religion: The TSU view religion as a drug that blinds the people to their current economical and social state. Thus, they encourage it greatly. Any religion that promotes violence, however, is outlawed and exterminated (e.g. Islam, Nihilism, Annihilists). The biggest religion in practice is currently Catholicism. The Catholic church is, in fact, one of the most powerful organizations on Earth. All religions are secretly connected to the government however, and make sure to encourage a positive view of it.

Colonization: The TSU's empire expands to about one-eighth of the Milky Way. It costs a lot of funds to keep up an extraterrestrial colony, however, and very few exist. Most of the TSU's galactic expansion consists of military outposts and mining/harvesting operations on the planets in their domain.

The TSU Armed Forces (TSUAF) Evaluation:

Commander in chief: Major General Daniel Stratz

Branches: TSU Ground Forces (TSUGF), Naval Forces (TSUNF), Tech Forces (TSUTF), and Special Forces (TSUSF).

TSUGF Eval:
Contains land-land, land-marine, and marine-marine units. Uses medium-light artillery (howitzers, mortars, etc), cavalry (light assault vehicles/transports, cars/speeders, submarines, most vehicles), armored (tanks/bunkers), and infantry (Bishops).

TSUNF Eval:
Contains space-space, space-atmosphere, space-ground, atmosphere-atmosphere, and atmosphere-ground units. Uses heavy artillery (battleships, siege ships), cavalry (destroyers, attack transports, carriers), armored (battleships, cruisers), LAUs (Light Attack Units; fighters, bombers, etc.), and infantry (Bishops).

TSUTF Eval:
Contains all combat varieties. Works alongside the TSU science division to create/supply the TSUAF with the latest technological weapons advancements. Uses UA/GVs – Unmanned Aerial/Ground Vehicles, EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) devices, and top-of-the-line computer systems to hack into the enemies' communications and intelligence.

TSUSF Eval:
Contains all combat varieties. Uses cavalry (light attack transports, cars/speeders), LAUs (stealth fighters, scout ships), and infantry (ATAUs – All Terrain Attack Units, SUUs [see below], Informants).

Special Units:
-Bishops: The standard infantry unit for the TSUAF. He is equipped with camoflage-patterned plastoid armor with Kevlar for the lining and joint areas. This is top-of-the-line armor that can absorb or deflect a standard rifle blast, unless it is a projectile weapon. It cannot withstand anything greater than a sniper rifle. His main weapon is the SIAR (Standard Infantry Assault Rifle). He also carries a sidearm, stun baton, and combat vibra-knife.

-Informants: The main intelligence unit of the TSUAF. These operate under any conditions, anywhere. They are widely distributed among the people of Earth, constantly feeding information to the police and KoVRIS. They are also well-versed in stealth, and several are in deep cover among the intergalactic species the TSU interact with on a regular basis. Their weapons and equipment will vary depending on their situation and mission.

-Trainers: The 'Gestapo', in a sense, of the TSU. They are in charge of brainwashing the people and military into mindless obedience to the TSU government. If you do not comply with their methods you are labeled a 'deviant' and sent off to a trainer rehabilitation facility, where they will pay extra special attention to you – not in the positive way, let me assure you.

-SUUs: Specialized Utility Units. These include genetically modified soldiers, clones, cyborgs, etc. Hunter falls under this category. They are distributed mostly to the TSUSF, but a few can be found in the other branches as well.

The International Security Association (ISA) -TERMINATED- :

Origins: ISA was created by the Moderator and KoVRIS with the assistance of the TSUAF Commander-in-chief, General Stratz. Its purpose was to provide the Moderator and KoVRIS with direct insight into the actions of the military and government. ISA consisted of a very small group of investigators, anaylists, and scientists. It was divided into two main branches.

First branch: Headed by Selkovic Messino. Its main purpose and role was military and political investigation, providing the TSU leaders with insight as to whether or not there was betrayal or corruption in the system.

Second branch: Headed by David Serif. Its main purpose and role was non-human relations and activities on Earth (non-humans including vampires, werewolves, demons, and intergalactic asylum-seekers), along with handling the extremely sensitive scientific research and experimentation.

Demise: ISA ran into a sticky patch of ground when it ventured into grafting non-human DNA to human subjects, Hunter being their first major success. However, Hunter was resistant to the loyalty/obedience conditioning techniques due to his 'split personality' (Sithis). When he discovered that Serif, the leader of the second branch of ISA, was planning to clone him for use in a coup against the government, he disavowed the ISA and completely annihilated its entire second branch, destroying all research, history, and scientists associated with it (including Serif himself). KoVRIS and the Moderator immediately designated the rest of the ISA as compromised and dissolved it.

Anathema: The Song of Jace

Hey all!

Well, my brainchild is finally here.  For this being the first time I've ever recorded and mixed a track, then filmed a music video for it, I can say that I'm halfway pleased.  I really liked the audio.  (Music is more my forte than acting ever was.)  I didn't really like the video…heh, and, as for why, I did everything, literally, for this music video.  I sang, I played the piano, I mixed it, I wrote it, I directed it, I filmed it, I acted in it, and, throughout all of that, I was never really sure of what I wanted until I sat down to edit it all on the computer.  You can expect a certain level of unprofessionalism simply because I'm appearing in every single shot, and every single shot is a still shot because I was using a tripod.  xD  (Next time, some of you more gifted people will have to come act for me.  xD  Also, the JoNats, I've been told, are music geniuses, so you girls will have to teach me your tricks.  x))

Anyway, my misgivings aside, here's the link to the video on Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9p0H0J1hxsE&feature=youtu.be

I hope you guys enjoy watching this as much as I enjoyed making it.  I realize that, as a final product, it may look like a dramatized version of those home videos that we all made when we were 7-12 years old, but I had way too much fun doing this…yes…all consecutive 6+ hours of filming…all 25+ times that I had to rerecord the vocals because the stupid mixing app kept eating my tracks…all 20+ hours spent on editing…all 3 times that I tried to upload it…all the frustration…aaalllll of it…no regrets whatsoever.  x)

Hey, on the bright side, at least I know what to do better next time, eh?
