Hi everyone! Welcome to the BTS blog for the Role-Play Project blog! If you haven't noticed, it's almost an exact inverse of the original blog… maybe it's a bit too dark. Give me some feedback.
Also, BTS stands for 'Behind the Scenes', didn't you know. ;)
Just a few recommendations for everyone who posts here:
(1) This is a public blog. Anyone and everyone can see what's posted here, so if you want your…things to be private, sticking to email is probably the way to go.
(2) Tag your posts appropriately! The sidebar has a "Things to See" function, which will display certain tags such as "Author's Notes," "Art," "Music," "Random Ideas," or whatever else holds relevance – feel free to create your own. Ideally, every post should have a tag, and if you don't see the tag you just used in the list, simply let me know and I'll add it. Try to stick to the ones that are there, however, so we don't have a gigantic list of tags. ;)
(3) Make "Author's Notes" posts about your story post on the main blog, as I did in email form for Malphas! Instead of arguably defaming or at least cluttering your actual story post, put your "Author's Notes" here and remind us of all the things you left available for others to run with, or things you don't want us messing with because they're relevant to your character, or whatever else you feel is necessary.
(4) If you do make an "Author's Notes" post (and please do!!), please prefix it with an identifier of the article you're noting on. For instance, I'd start a post here with, "On 'Malphas 1: Origins'…" if I was talking about my first post. Including your name might help to, but that's your choice.
(5) In case there's any curiosity, I imagine "Random Ideas" will be shorter posts (generally) for those things we come up with late at night and say, "OH! That'd be cool to include," and just want to spill out for the group.
Thanks guys. Feel free to bombard me with questions if necessary, and have fun!
This is a test comment!
ReplyDeleteAnd a reply test!
DeleteYES! We are up, ladies and gents, up and off. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for pulling this together, Josh! Two thoughts:
ReplyDelete1) I personally will be sticking to email for most things because I prefer to have plot/admin details private. But I am super excited about a place to share our projects and thoughts!
2) The new design is spiffy, my only comment would be that the white text is a wee bit hard to read.
Great job!
Sweet. this will be handy to use.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree, the black background might be intense against the white text.
I also agree. I'm over here squinting to read it. :P
ReplyDeleteAlso, good job! This'll be fun!
